Dr. Amit Garg is the founder and CEO of ORMAE, a company registered in the USA, UAE, and India. Renowned as a Guinness World Record holder in mathematics and the recipient of a silver medal in the 2012 Mental Calculation World Championship held in London. His dedication is channeled into providing consultancy services, offering training, and spearheading innovative product development in the domain of Operations Research and Data Science.
Before establishing ORMAE in 2016, Dr. Amit spent over 14 years in the United States, where he pursued his PhD in Operations Research from Case Western University and honed his expertise by solving intricate business challenges for four major enterprises, including Amazon, Penske, Genesys, and Progressive Insurance. His educational journey in India encompasses a B. Tech and M.S. from the esteemed IIT Delhi.

Vijay Patil did his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and Masters in IEOR from IIT Bombay in 2002.
Throughout his career, Vijay has been passionate about applying mathematics to solve challenging business and engineering problems. Over the years, he has designed and developed solutions for problems from wide variety of domains.
Vijay believes in open platforms and standards for collaboration. At ORMAE, Vijay is part of all major engagements and accelerators. Vijay plays a critical role in customer success.
Principal Operations Research Consultant
He is co-inventor for three patents. His 30+ year career has spanned several different industries, from airline scheduling, to supply chain planning, to warehouse sorter reconfigurations. These range from very large-scale problems requiring hours to solve, to relatively small problems that had to produce a solution in a minute or less since they were rerun every half hour. Each project started with defining and documenting the business problem. From this he developed an appropriate math model that he also implemented in code using either C++ or Java. He also developed and implemented the solution approach for these models using a third-party solver.

Akash Sambrekar is a Lead Operations Research Scientist at ORMAE India, bringing over 8 years of consulting experience in building decision-support systems across diverse industries, including Airlines, Food Delivery, Transportation, Warehousing, Supply Chain, and Logistics. With dual master’s degrees in Industrial Engineering and Applied Mathematics, Akash specializes in translating complex business processes into actionable mathematical models that drive effective decision-making. Eric Dumont is a strategic advisor with twenty-five years of experience scaling operations, business development, GTM strategy, sales practices, customer engagement, and solution delivery methodologies for SaaS and Cloud Technology professional services and customer success organizations. He has served global technology leaders including Taleo (acquired by Oracle), Oracle, Workday, and Trilogy/Skyvera. Specializing in operational design and digital transformation, Eric has lived and worked in twelve countries and combines this deep cross-cultural leadership experience with academic credentials including a BA in East Asian Studies from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, an MSc in Digital Transformation from TIAS Business School at Tilburg University in The Netherlands, and a 2025 MIT certification in AI Products and Services Development

An alumnus of the Delhi School of Economics and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), he previously served as Lead Economist at UC Davis on the BMGF-funded MAPS project with partners like IFPRI and LSHTM. At Adani Group, he developed the digital strategy for the Copper Business, delivering computer vision, predictive maintenance, and optimization models for a procurement digital twin. He is passionate about AI, diplomacy, and enabling businesses through transparent, co-designed AI strategies.

As a Business Analyst, he now works closely with clients, requirements, and product workflows, contributing to the technical and operational research aspects of solution delivery.
